The teachings of T.K.V. Desikachar on meditation, theory and practice – Paul Meirsman
T.K.V. Desikachar (°Mysore 1938 – † Chennai 2016), of studies a civil engineer, was the son of Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, one of the fathers of modern yoga. T.K.V. Desikachar was also a very loyal brahman, who constructed his yoga teachings with respect for the ‘hardware’ of the Vedic rituals , that is to say, their technical rules, but he adapted the content to his international students who came from all directions. So, his vision on meditation contains āsana, prāṇāyāma and a prayer, recitation or dhyāna that can be Hindu, Muslim, Christian or atheistic.
After an explanation of his insights, you are invited to become familiar with it in a practice.
