Yoga and Technostress for mental health – Antonietta Rozzi
In recent decades the phenomenon of technostress (constant and excessive use of technology) had been studied, particularly regarding its impact on young people who are heavily immersed in technology. New technologies have some positive aspects, such as fostering global unity and facilitating education globally but we can underline the risks, including emotional issues like anxiety, depression, and a decline in interpersonal skills.
Yoga can, however, be a valuable tool to counterbalance the negative effects of technostress by offering structured techniques such as asanas, pranayama, relaxation, and concentration practices. In conclusion, while technology is definitely going to develop more and more, yoga, as an ancient human technology, can help individuals lead healthier and more balanced lives.
