Isabelle Chatel
Isabelle has been practising yoga since the age of 32, but it was in 2005 that she signed up for a yoga teacher training course at the school run by Frans Moors and the late Simone Tempelhof. From the moment she completed her yoga training, it was obvious that yoga and ongoing training would be part of her life. Isabelle continued to train with Simone in yoga svādhyāya and Vedic chanting, and has studied yoga therapy with Dr Chandrasekaram and Ayurveda with Michèle Lefèvre and Isabelle Hernandez. She has stayed several times in Plum Village to study with Thich Nhat Hanh and is continuing to research into meditation. She has travelled to India on several occasions to follow various teachings.
In 2010, Isabelle established her yoga studio in Gozée (Belgium).
In 2019, the FBHY (Belgian Federation of Hebertism and Yoga) recognised her as a teacher trainer. In 2024, her school was recognised by the EUY.
In 2019, Isabelle joined the pedagogical team of the Belgian Yoga Federation.
In 2023, she was elected FBHY administrator and since July 2025 she has been the organisation’s President.
Isabelle has a passionate interest in human relations and coexistence, and alongside yoga she teaches psychosomatic and cellular memories at the EEPA (School of Applied Philosophies and Psychotherapies). She now experiences yoga as the art of being present to oneself, to nature and to the world.
