Isabelle Chatel

Teacher

Isabelle Chatel, yoga teacher and yoga teacher trainer.

Isabelle is a board member of the F.B.H.Y. and its yoga committee, as well as a member of the teaching commission. Isabelle teaches yoga in its entirety, and was trained to teach yoga by Frans Moors and Simone Tempelhof for ‘svādhyāya’ yoga and Vedic chanting.

Her explorer’s temperament guided her on various trips to India, France where she studied yoga therapy with Dr. Candrasekaram and Bernard Bouanchaud, and Brittany to study ayurveda with Michèle Lefèvre and Isabelle Moysan.

Since 2019, Isabelle has opened the doors to teaching, setting up her ‘Yoga’n Being’ school and training yoga teachers.

Isabelle’s aim is to combine yoga and psychotherapy, to enable people to go deep down into their own cells to free their stored memories, to peel away the layers of ‘Who am I not?’ to meet the ‘Who am I?’ in yoga.

Title & Short Description of the type of Yoga Practice

Abhyāsa – vairāgyā: The various tools of yoga will be called upon (āsana, prānāyāma, kriya, mantra) to invite each person to engage their whole being in an integral yoga practice.

Invite all layers of the being to descend into the silence of the cells, experience through the depth of silence the turning around of the senses, to let emerge what will propose itself in welcome, freedom and perhaps let oneself be touched by the nameless.
