Joana Neves de Oliveira

Teacher

Joana Oliveira sees yoga as a path to expanding consciousness and liberation, which simultaneously brings enormous benefits to the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Thus, Joana’s mission has been to bring this practice to everyone (babies, children, adults, pregnant women, postpartum women, the elderly).

Her passionate study of the ethics, philosophy and literature of Yoga led her to be invited to join the group of trainers for different FPY’s courses.

Joana is also passionate about the beneficial effects of sound and vibration, which is why she often uses this tool in her yoga classes.

She is attentive to the world around her and seeks to contribute to the good of all beings.

From suffer and ignorance to bliss and liberation: a path through emotions

Morning Practice: Hatha Yoga practice & Workshops, each session comprising two parts: – a brief theoretical in-troduction to the topic, accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation; – practical exercises that may combine kriya, asana, prāṇāyāma, pratyāhāra techniques, sensory exercises, experiences with sound, mudra and dharana.

We will begin the week by observing the emotions that frequently arise in yogic texts as the most harmful to evo-lution on the path of knowledge.
During the week, we will seek to experience, cleanse and sublimate emotions through practical morning classes and experiential and transformative workshops that may combine kriya, asana, prāṇāyāma, pratyāhāra tech-niques, sensory exercises, sound experiences, mudra and dharana
By the end of the week, we are likely to feel the blessing of equanimity of mind in a sattvic body.
Little by little, we challenge ourselves to prepare for the long journey that leads to transcendence.
