Lina Franco

She started her professional life as a university researcher in Italy (PhD in literature, philosophy, and philology), authoring several articles and two books.
She studied Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtra and the main Indian texts, and deepened her research in postural, energetic and meditative yoga throughout years of experimentation inspired by the tradition of two great Indian masters, Krishnamacarya and T.K.V Desikachar, as well as by the works of contemporary trainers and researchers.

In 2008 she started her first yoga classes and now conducts trainings, seminars, workshops and retreats in France and elsewhere dedicated to both the theoretical and practical aspects of yoga.
In 2012 she published the book Memory and Change and from 2014 to 2021 she was co-editor of the IFY newsletter.

Lina became a Certified Yoga Trainer with the French Institute of Yoga (IFY), and her yoga school was subsequently certified as a professional yoga training organization by the French state.
She is a full member of the Executive Committee of the IFY College of Trainers, EUY Delegate for the IFY and, since 2022, a member of the EUY Research Team, where her latest research is focused on two main directions: neuroscience and fascias.
