He has been practising yoga since 1975. The series of lectures and dialogues with Krishnamurti he attended in 1977 had a lasting impact on his view of spirituality.
He practised Zen for some years. He delved into advaita vedanta, the doctrine of non-duality and took part in several satsangs and trainings given by non-dual teachers. He is director of the training school for yoga teachers Yoga Vedanta Aalst and secretary of the Yoga Federation of Dutch-speaking Belgium.
