Alternating between Yoga of touch – Yoga-nidrā and gentle classical yoga practice towards deep relaxation.
Yoga of touch is related to Yoga-nidrā but different. It is a form of yoga that promotes alertness and awareness through feeling by being present in your body. It is done by appealing to the sense of touch, namely the contact of the skin with the clothing and then feeling more deeply into the mat. It works very deeply into the subtle layers of your being and relaxes into the depths of your cells. It is a lying down form of meditation. It takes you to calmness, serenity, ānanda. Regular practice has an impact on your daily life, the body indicates when there are tensions, being present becomes a habit or saṃskāra and this brings positive results for your relationships, your work, your body, your breathing, your mind… You come out of your head into the “I AM”, the eternal moment NOW.
The classical (soft) yoga practices will therefore be practiced more feelingly rather than performance oriented. In these practices there is more movement in the form of classical āsana.
