Yoga and Ahiṃsā: the 2026 Annual Conference by FMY (Mediterranean Yoga Federation), Apr.30 - May 3, 2026
Dear friends of the Mediterranean Yoga Federation! It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 22nd edition of the FMY Annual Conference, which will take place from 30 April to 3 May 2026 in the magnificent setting of the Catania coast, the backdrop for this unmissable event for all yoga lovers: the programme includes 4 days of yoga practices, meditations, sat-sangha, conferences, book presentations, sharing spaces and ideas with Italian and international teachers, who are authoritative and esteemed worldwide. Ahimsa, non-violence, will be the theme of the conference, which is extremely relevant today. It is a topical issue that raises questions that deserve to be explored and shared, especially in an age that leaves us so little time and space for reflection and deeper feeling.
Yoga and ahiṃsā. Non-violence is the supreme dharma (ahiṃsā paramo dharmaḥ)
In an age such as the one we are living in, where the only language seems to be that of violence, the Mediterranean Yoga Federation (FMY), faithful to the teachings of Patanjali, wants to bring its decisive and peaceful message of non-violence (ahimsa), considering it the only antidote to rampant madness. That is why the next FMY international conference will focus on ahimsa in thoughts, words and deeds, without neglecting the various related themes of the rights of the weak, animals and ecology, obviously approaching everything from the perspective of yoga.
All events will take place in the beautiful Hotel Nettuno, located on the seafront a few hundred metres from the centre of Catania. To fully enjoy all the activities, guests and practitioners can stay at the hotel at a special price with full board. The list of teachers and guest speakers for this edition is extensive and varied; thanks to their contributions, we will have the opportunity to explore Ahimsa, the theme of the conference. They are:

The programme is being finalised, other guests are to be confirmed: we will update you with the latest news as soon as possible. Hotel room availability is limited; if you wish to stay at the hotel and share the many moments of the day with the teachers, we recommend that you book as soon as possible. How to participate: The conference will begin on Thursday, 30 April at 4:00 p.m. and will end on Sunday, 3 May 2026 after lunch. The conference will take place in Catania, at the Hotel Nettuno. Double and single rooms are available until capacity is reached, and the package is all-inclusive (full board). Meetings and seminars will all take place within the hotel.
Conference Participation Fee: The participation fee for the conference - for FMY members - is €230.00. For non-members, the annual membership fee is €20.00. Any membership fee of €20.00 must be paid together with the registration fee. Payment of the fee (non-refundable) by 20 April 2026 guarantees your place. Payment must be made by bank transfer. IBAN: IT69 R076 0116 9000 0004 2094 524 payable to Federazione Mediterranea Yoga, with the reason for payment being “Convention 2026 Registration”.
Hotel Booking: We recommend booking as soon as possible so as not to miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the spirit of the event, which allows for direct, daily contact with the event's masters and guest speakers. Reservations for accommodation at the special rate can only be made after paying the event participation fee and informing the Federation secretariat of the type of room chosen. Payment for the hotel will be made on arrival, directly at reception. The Hotel Nettuno offers the following full board options - breakfast/lunch/dinner - exclusively for the conference: Accommodation in a double room with full board at a cost of €118.00 per day per person - Accommodation in a single room with full board at a cost of €138.00 per day per person
